A very personal and philosophical story in a style that shows the writer’s passion. This characterizes the short book The Magazine of Life. The challenge with this translation was to preserve the distinctive character of the text without creating a pushy or nagging tone: naturally, the writer’s passion and enthusiasm should not become something negative. Besides this, I paid special attention to consistently translating recurring terms and finding beautiful translations for the numerous metaphors inspired by nature.
